Job Purpose:
Tapas Restaurant is seeking an experienced and skilled Mediterranean Cuisine Cook to join our team in Moka, Mauritius. As a Mediterranean Cuisine Cook, you will play a crucial role in our company by creating delicious and authentic dishes for our clients.
Key duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of Mediterranean dishes, including but not limited to, kebabs, falafel, hummus, and shawarma.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to company standards and client preferences.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Collaborate with the team to create new and innovative dishes to add to our menu.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to company standards and procedures.
- Keep up-to-date with current food trends and incorporate them into our menu offerings.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Mediterranean Cuisine Cook or similar role.
- Knowledge of Mediterranean cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Food safety and sanitation certification is a plus.
